In case if you are facing SpanDDS player getting hanged after running for sometime, it will probably the issue with report file is getting bigger. There was a know issue reported in SpanDDS Player build May 2009 (V 1.0905), CoreVine released the patch for this issue for existing users who are using SpanDDS powered by CoreVine.
This issue happened due the system date format you are using; the date format should be “dd/MM/yyyy”
As an instant solution you can fix this issue following way also.
First restart the System/Player, once the booting process is finished player will start.
Press “S” to enable Service mode (sometime you need to press Alt+Tab to highlight the player)
Once the Service Mode is enabled you will get the message and now you can use your keyboard and mouse.
Exit the CoreVine Watch Dog service from the task bar.
Go to the ‘contents’ folder where you installed CoreVine player and replace the report.xml file with the one attached here cv_report_v1_0905
After replacing
Go to Windows Start Menu -> Control Panel -> Regional and Language Options
Under Regional Options Click on ‘Customise’
Go to ‘Date’ Tab and change the Short Date format as ‘dd/MM/yyyy’
Close everything and restart the System/Player.
That it !!! 😉 Have Fun…
Above Fix will work with SpanDDS Player V 1.0905
